Swatch: Liquid Sky Lacquer Pass the Salsa + Holo Top Coat

I've decided to do my best to show you another couple of Liquid Sky Lacquer polishes before Thursday morning (US), because then there will be a big clearance sale on the store (first day: 50% off), and I think it's a great opportunity to grab some -or a lot of- pretty indie polishes!!

As I jumped on the neon wagon (of Cabo Cabana Party collection), let's go on with Pass the Salsa, a bright orange.

I swatched it twice, but I realized that its finish is a little bit less "rubber" than the others, so there's no big difference between natural and glossy versions.

Swatches with longer nails: two coats on all nails; these pictures have been taken in the late afternoon, when natural lighting was more warm. I took also a couple pics with my smartphone, later in the evening, trying to catch the brightness of this shade (sorry, no highlighter this time).

Ho deciso di fare il possibile per mostrarvi, entro il 23 pomeriggio, ancora un paio di smalti Liquid Sky Lacquer. Come mai? Perché dal 23 sera e per tre giorni ci sarà una mega svendita sul negozio di questo marchio indie (che come sapete adoro) e credo valga la pena approfittarne. Dico solo che il primo giorno lo sconto sugli smalti sarà del 50% (a questo punto uno ammortizza le spese di spedizione, no?) ^_^.

Dunque il prescelto di oggi è Pass the Salsa (visto che apprezzate i neon ;-)), un arancio fluo carico (sempre della collezione Cabo Cabana Party). Anche questo swatchato due volte, anche se in realtà pur avendo un finish tra il lucido e il gommoso, è meno satinato degli altri e quindi la differenza con la versione glossy si nota di meno.

Nelle foto con unghie più corte vedete il risultato dopo due passate su tutte le unghie e tre sull'indice, sulle unghie più lunghe solo due passate. Queste ultime son state fatte nel tardo pomeriggio, con una luce più gialla, e un paio con il cellulare dopo il tramonto, quando (almeno ad occhio nudo) risaltava maggiormente la caratteristica neon di questo arancio.

HOLO TOP COAT

As usual I applied a coat of Holo Top Coat on it and...Magic! The color becomes less bright, but look at those rainbows!! This time I managed to catch them also in the shade (the holo effect from this top coat is mildly visible also indoors <3).

That's all guys! I hope I'll be able to post another polish tomorrow, these neons are really stunning and I'm in love with them (I'm currently wearing Pass the Salsa and today I got complimented on my manicure...Of course after saying they were beautiful, they asked me if those were my real nails :-P).

Foto d'ordinanza fatte anche con l'Holo Top Coat, come sempre il colore si smorza, ma l'effetto olografico è meraviglioso e -come ho cercato di mostrare nella foto all'ombra- visibile anche in interni.

E' tutto, spero di riuscire a postare qualcosa anche domani, questi colori sono veramente bellissimi (proprio ora sulle mani ho di nuovo l'arancio e anche oggi mi hanno fatto i complimenti per le unghie...Vabbè chiedendo poi se erano vere :-P)!

Swatch: Liquid Sky Lacquer Jalapeño Business + Holo Top Coat

Another Liquid Sky Lacquer neon from Cabo Cabana Party collection: Jalapeño Business (in case you're tired of seeing neons here -really??- just let me know, and I'll post a dark polish, like the ones I love to wear in Winter :-P).

JP is a bright green, I swatched it twice because I wanted to try it also with shiny top coat...And because I love wearing such green nails ^_^

Two coats on a Essence Nail Candies base, actually IRL nail line wasn't that visible. Editing my pictures I noticed that even if both swatches have been made with two coats, the pictured result seems a little bit different (thicker coats, different sunlight? Who knows!).

The natural finish of this polish is a sort of semi-glossy (the first thing that came into my mind to describe it is...Formica), I tried it also with a glossy top coat (and had to took a picture with a real highlighter), I have to say I adored the shiny version.

Anche il post di oggi sarà corposo, in termini di foto (e stavolta anche di parole)...Protagonista un altro neon della Cabo Cabana Party (se siete stufe di neon/holo...avvertitemi e vi posto subito qualche smalto cupo di quelli che piacciono a me d'inverno ^_^).

Lui è Jalapeño Business (c'è un gioco di parole americano, che in realtà non ho capito molto, dietro questo nome) ed è un verde neon (evidenziatore anche lui).

Provato due volte, un po' perché la prima non l'avevo lucidato, un po' perché andare in giro con le unghie verdi mi diverte molto.

Due passate senza "mutanda" bianca, a memoria la linea dell'unghia dal vivo non era così visibile. Comunque notavo, lavorando le foto, che nelle due serie di swatch (le distinguete dalla diversa lunghezza delle unghie e dal taglietto sul mignolo ^_^), pur avendo applicato sempre due passate su una base Essence Nail Candies, il risultato varia. Luce ? Densità della passata? Boh.

Il finish naturale è semilucido, tipo fòrmica (non mi veniva in mente nient'altro per rendere l'idea); anche in questo caso mi sono divertita a fare la foto dello smalto con il top coat lucido e l'evidenziatore ;-) La versione "specchio" qui mi ha entusiasmato moltissimo!

Obvously I tried it also with the Holo Top Coat, that makes it less "neon" and more "grass" green.

Ovviamente l'ho provato anche in versione olografica con l'aggiunta di una passata di Holo Top Coat, che come al solito modifica il colore, rendendolo qui più "verde erba" e meno neon.

And if you were wondering...Does the holo-ed Jalapeño looks like some other Liquid Sky Lacquer green holo? I did a quick comparison with a couple shades I own (and tried also a double coat of Holo Top coat on my pinkie) and the answer is no :-) (so I'm happy there are no dupes)!

E per finire, anche una veloce comparazione con altri holo verde chiaro della Liquid Sky Lacquer (ahimè ancora da swatchare), per fortuna non ci sono doppioni ;-). Sul mignolo sempre il nostro Jalapeño Business, con due passate di Holo Top Coat (come vedete diventa ancora più holo e più "argentato").

Swatch: Liquid Sky Lacquer No Strippers, Please + Holo Top Coat

  

Few words (I'm melting here, it's freaking hot), but a lot of pictures for another Liquid Sky Lacquer polish from Cabo Cabana Party Collection: No Strippers, Please. (are there strippers in Cabo Cabana? I don't know).

It has a bright cyclamen purple shade, two coats for my swatches (on a standard base, no white undies required :-)).

As you can see it has a slightly "rubber" finish, so I tried it also with top coat (I loved both semi matte and glossy version).

At the bottom of the post you can see it with a single coat of Holo Top Coat: a completely different (and super holo) color!!

Poche parole (fa caldooo) e parecchie foto, per un altro neon Liquid Sky Lacquer della collezione Cabo Cabana Party...Questo è No Strippers, Please (i nomi di questa collezione sono tutto un programma) ed è un viola ciclamino, qui lo vedete dopo due passate su una normale base (Essence Nail Candies), quindi è bello coprente. 

Anche stavolta in versione naturale (finish leggermente gommoso), lucidata e in fondo...holo (con una passata di Holo Top Coat, sempre della stessa collezione).
Come vedete il top coat olografico gli cambia completamente faccia, sembra davvero un altro colore (sull'effetto holo pazzesco non servono commenti, bastano le foto)!

Swatch: Essence TE ¡Arriba! - 02 Macarena Mint

Today (or better tonight) I'm showing you another polish from Essence ¡Arriba! TE: Macarena Mint. Actually this was a "wrong purchase": judging the polish from the sample nail on the display I thought (or maybe hoped) it was a satin, but it really is a "chalky matt" :-( This time Essence put the right label on a finish!

The polish is quite viscous and not that easy to apply (two coat for these swatches); despite its name the polish has a turquoise/teal shade, quite pretty (looking the purchase on the bright side); I think I will wear it always with top coat!

Oggi vi mostro il secondo smalto della Trend Edition ¡Arriba! Essence che ho comprato. Onestamente non so perché mi sono portata a casa questo Macarena Mint (come colore è più un mix tra turchese e ottanio), probabilmente mi sono lasciata irretire dall'unghia finta nello stand, che lo faceva sembrare più satinato che mat. Avrei dovuto, per una volta, fidarmi della definizione Essence di "opaco gessoso".

Lo smalto è abbastanza viscoso e la stesura non è agevolissima, comunque il colore di base è bello, mi consolo così. Foto dopo due passate, da solo e con top coat (molto meglio).

Swatch: Liquid Sky Lacquer CAUTION: Party in progress + Holo Top Coat

 

Summertime...And choosing a neon is easy! Today I'm showing you a super bright yellow from Liquid Sky Lacquer (Cabo Cabana Party Collection), named CAUTION: Party in Progress.

It's a highlighter yellow, here I applied three coats (on a standard base coat, no white underwear ^_^); as you can see nail line is still slightly visible, but nails are nicely and evenly covered (quite good for a yellow neon).

I swatched this nail polish twice, as the first time I forgot to try it with a glossy top coat (its natural finish is the "semi-rubber" one you see in the first pictures); if you want to see the shiny version, check the picture with the real highlighter (I hope the color match is visible)!

I already liked CPiP with its natural finish (and I usually am not fond of yellows!), but I have to say that neon yellow glossy nails have a special "flashy charm" ^_^  (I stamped a black pattern on them and wore the manicure at work the following day - everyone noticed it :-D).

Primo post di questo luglio caldissimo: uno smalto che più estivo non si può, data la tonalità da evidenziatore ^_^

E' il giallo CAUTION: Party in Progress della Liquid Sky Lacquer, collezione Cabo Cabana Party)*. 

Ho fatto un sacco di foto a questo smalto, in due occasioni diverse, perché la prima volta non avevo pensato di provarlo anche con il top coat lucido e volevo rimediare.

Nelle prime foto vedete il risultato dopo tre passate (su normale base, niente "mutanda bianca"), come vedete il finish è il "gommosino", non coprentissimo (la lunetta è visibile) ma bello uniforme. 

Poi ecco l'esperimento con il top coat...L'ho abbinato all'evidenziatore sperando di rendere l'idea di quanto fosse neon (il suo finish naturale non mi dispiace, ma devo dire che la versione lucida ha il fascino della sfacciataggine :D). Infatti dopo averle fotografate ho stampato un motivo abbastanza coprente (in nero) e le ho tenute così: il giorno dopo, al lavoro, sono state notate praticamente da tutti!

Last but not least, I added one coat of Holo Top Coat: as you can see the shade shifts to a lemon lime; I found it really peculiar (I don't think I own any yellow holo like this)!

Eccolo qui -infine- dopo una passata di Holo Top Coat: diventa una specie di giallo lime olografico, veramente speciale!!!

*Nota tecnica: ho messo il link al negozio, finora ho sempre preso i miei smalti direttamente da Carolyn (mi piace poter scegliere tra il formato mini e quello standard e ogni tanto ci sono delle promo interessanti che compensano i costi di spedizione), ma se vi interessano e temete la dogana, ci sono anche alcuni distributori europei.
